MIDDLETOWN GRAMMAR SCHOOL

In 1870 the Methodist Church Building was erected and served jointly as a school and a church for 20 years.  Later, the school was moved to the present site, with a new building being built. Classes were held in the I.O.O.F. hall while the school was being built.

This "new" school was used until the present Grammar School building was erected about 1925.
